Stellat’en Hotel Positioned to Boost Community Growth and Regional Destination Development

Planning is well underway for the new hotel in the Village of Fraser Lake, BC. Led by the Stellat’en First Nation, the Project represents one of the most significant investments in the Village’s recent history. The Project is intended to address the local market gap by delivering a modern, professionally operated hotel that supports regional economic activity while generating sustainable, Nation-owned revenue. 

The region is experiencing consistent commercial and leisure traffic, as well as sustained project-related activity. While crews are often housed in camps, professional staff, consultants, and visiting executives routinely require hotel accommodation. The hotel’s location and design position it well to capture this demand, particularly through preferred accommodation arrangements with industry operating in or alongside Stellat’en territory.

The hotel is the first phase of a broader multi-phase commercial retail development opportunity being explored by the Stellat’en First Nation and its affiliate corporations. Generating over 45 local jobs and attracting overnight and longer-stay guests, the community and economic benefits are strong. Alongside this Project, the trusted local favourite Slenyah Store is being fully redeveloped. Excitement is high!
